Host File Editor - The Basics
« on: April 25, 2016, 08:28 pm »
Until about 18 months ago new and updated solutions were (mostly) incorporated into each individual users local hostf by the user by either using the built in editor or editing the hostf directly. This post describes very basic Editor operations that may be relevant to current IHG users.

Thanks to Greg, the hostf is updated fairly regularly these days and if you've got Automatic Updates enabled you'll get them as and when they become available, i.e. whenever Greg updates the official hostf. This happens whenever there are new updates and when Greg has the time to do it. Remember, everyone here works for free. We've all got day jobs!

Right click anywhere in the browser window, select ImageHost Grabber/Host File Editor. This is what it looks like when first opened:

This is just a quick cheap and cheerful explanation and shows how to get information you may be asked for if you ask for help with something.

There is an in depth explanation of the Host File Editor here: http://hot-honeys.com/index.php?topic=797.0
