imgbox is my favorite image host. a while ago I submitted a change for its IHG solution from looking for the ID on the page to a URL replacement.

since then I've realized that they may be losing ad revenue that way if IHG users are leeching the images directly rather than loading the page first.

we should want hosts to stay financially solvent.

I propose to switch imgbox's solution back to the previous way and suggest that in general IHG solutions should be coded so that image hosts don't lose money.

thoughts?

Thanks for the reply. I read it, but that's about affiliate programs where the image host pays image uploaders.

I'm just talking about free image hosts not losing money (because of IHG leeching from missing page views) that they need to "keep the lights on" or that they want to make to pay themselves.
