We use a topic (thread) prefix system in our Adult Photo Sets
category which makes it easy to identify which website or studio any set came from. The use of the topic prefixes are intended to make it easier to find content from any site you are interested in. When you post a set you are required to select a topic prefix from a drop down list before you can post the topic.IMPORTANT NOTICE: Currently the post prefix system is only partially operational. It is UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!!! The tags are there so that we will have tags right from the beginning, and the remainder of the section described below will be added as soon as possible! The capabilities described below relate to how the system will work when fully completed!
When you are looking at the topic list in any particular board, perhaps Softcore
for example, and see a website or studio that interests you, just click the prefix (not the post title which is separate) and the topic list will automatically be sorted to show only sets from that website or studio. Click "Femjoy" and you'll see only sets from Femjoy.com listed.
Note that this feature works only inside a specific board, and does not work across the entire Adult Photo Sets
category. If you wish to find all Femjoy sets in the entire Adult Photo Sets
category, use our Search function instead. (not yet implemented)
As an additional feature of our prefix system, some prefixes may be used only on specific boards. For example, all Femjoy sets go into Softcore
, so Femjoy is available as a topic prefix only in that board. Other sites like SexArt or The Life Erotic might be posted in various sections so they may be globally available.
One problem you may face as you are posting is that the drop list does not have the site you want to post. First, check carefully and make sure you are posting the set in the correct board. If you believe your post is right for the section you want to post it in, do the following:
1. Select needs tag
which is the last selection on the drop list in every board and post your set using that tag.
2. Then post a reply to this topic, tell us which site you want added to the list and what section you are posting it in. (That will make it easy for us to find the set and fix the tag for you.)
3. Please help us out and provide in your request some information about the site that will help us decide if the tag should be included for that board only, or for 2-3 boards (tell us which ones), or may have such a large variety of content that we need to make the tag globally available.
By limiting tags to one or only a few sections it makes the topic tag drop list easier to use because the list is shorter if tags that would never be used in that section are not included. Additionally it helps clue you in that you might be posting your set in the wrong section.
No system is perfect and there are always exceptions. If you feel strongly that your set belongs in a different section, go ahead and post it using needs tag
and report your set. A moderator will either add the correct tag or move your set to the correct section.
So to sum it up:
1. If you need a tag that isn't there select needs tag
at the bottom of the topic tag drop list, post your topic, and then reply to this topic giving us the name of the website or studio, which board you posted in, and your advice on which boards that site should be allowed to be posted.
2. And finally, as stated above, the full system is under construction and not all features work. At present only the addition of the tags to posts is working. Hot Honeys management decided that it was more important to get our forum live on the Internet, and this is one of the features we decided wouldn't stop us from going public.
UPDATE: We have upgraded the tagging system so that each board shows only the tags that apply to that board, rather than the entire list of all tags. This should make it much easier to locate the tag you need since there will be quite a bit fewer.
If you believe your post should go in a specific section but there is no tag, go to the bottom of the list and use "needs tag
." Then report in this topic as instructed above. We will either add a new tag, add an existing tag to the section you want, or move your post to the section we believe it belongs.
Don't worry, we don't have any penalties if you post in the wrong section, whether by mistake or accident or misunderstanding which sections various types of content should go. You can also report your own post if there is a problem or you want it moved or something. No problem!
Also, please let us know if the updated tagging is working okay. It had only the briefest tests and if there is anything wrong we'll revert to the previous version.
We are sorry that the tagging system is still not fully functional. We hope to get tag searches working soon. The code is very complex and you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to add new features to the existing SMF forum code. Bear with us and we will have the full system working shortly.
All tags requested to date have been added. Thank you for your reports!
